Hello, i was dumped after 3 1/2 years together about a month ago. We were looking at moving in together two days before the break up. He sat me down and broke up with me. I have been so devastated and crying on and off for a month. He called me overweight and said we weren't connecting emotionally or intellectually any longer. It was so painful and I felt like it was a personal attack on me. I felt so alone and so blindsided. He was already moving on and I was stuck still in love. I felt like I had depended on him for a lot. Anyway, long story short I have broken every dating book's advice about not contacting him. I sent him a letter, was there for him when he was recently in the hospital, and kept texting him to check-in weekly. He has told me not to contact him a couple times. Now, I have a chance to meet with him face to face in the first time in over 2 months as he has shown a little heart. The last time I saw him was a week after we broke up, and he handed me all my stuff back and did not show much emotion. Anyway, I asked to meet with him for closure, to end on a peaceful note. He has already told me he has fond thoughts of me but does not want to be my boyfriend. He has already moved on - I felt he had done so over a month ago. He said he will make time to meet although he is busy moving. My heart is telling me it's probably not a good idea to see him still so I may decide not to. I think it may just make me feel worse, as I still have some emotions and am not sure if I can handle it. I know I could never go back to him... He hurt me enough not to go back. The damage is done. But, I feel it may help just to know we can move on in peace. Please help me and give feedback. Thank you.
