Been there done that !! LOL I have a few girl friends when I was younger. Dated girls because I thought that was normal and what everyone wanted of me. Each and everytime I could not get guys out of my minds. Once I thought I could act out the straight life the more these thoughts of guys came to my mind. I prayed and prayed on it. I finally had to be truthful to myself. To Hell what others thought. The more I tried to be straight which I was not the more it was tearing me up inside. I thought about guys sexually because I was gay. I am still a great person worthy of a stable relationship and having my own family. Being gay is more than just sex with guys. Everyone said "If you are gay you will never have a family of your own and you will never be happy"! Well they were all wrong !! I have been in the same relationship for over 25 years, raised 3 adopted sons from GA,, and are now proud grandparents of two beautiful baby boys.
If I would of never been true to who I am I would of never known what a wonderful life I could really have.
All I can say is always in every part of your life be true to yourself. Be the best you , you can be!!

I think that's something that we all gr through at some point. Be who you are, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, and who knows, you might be bisexual.

I had the same urges when I started middle school, and I'm 22, and just recently came out to my friends and family. They all welcomed me with open arms, but they don't like my partner, which I'm about to start a discussion on.

Be yourself, and tell people when you're ready. Don't rush it!

i think that your girlfriend should really appreciate you being so open and honest with her about your urges it takes a lot of confidence to do that with someone. if you're having these urges, my personal opinion would be to see what they are about and test the waters, they could in fact just be curiosity, not everyone who has urges or tries it out turns out to be gay or bisexual sometimes it just something we wanna know. if your girlfriend is going to get in the way of you being who you are, i don't think that's a healthy relationship. maybe tell her you have to figure this out and postpone the relationship and if its meant to be you two will reunite :)

Like the other guy said, it sounds like you are bisexual. At least for now. I was. That can be very, very confusing and frustrating. However, I would bet that you are definitely homosexual as well as heterosexual. You cannot run from your identity. You will be frustrated and miserable until you have sex with a man. I am not telling you to do that; I am just stating a fact. If and when you have sex with a man, like me, you'll think: "What have I been missing?!?!??" It's incredibly strong, intense, and addictive. It's wonderful. I hope you will not deny your own sexuality. It will never leave you alone. Life is short, no matter how young or old you are. I hope you will find that you can explore your sexuality and preferences with a man. It is good of you to worry about hurting your girlfriend, but you cannot let any other person be decisive in your life's decisions, no matter what. It would not be fair to her in the long-run if you did not discover what you really want and then act on it. We all go through hurt and confusion, but in the end if we are true to ourselves, then things work out in life. Over time you will have a definite preference... that is inevitable. You may remain bisexual, or you may become entirely gay. But you're going to be who you are, that's for sure. So don't fear it ... embrace your own sexuality and identity.
