Being in college things are a lot more open, however, the community I grew up in was pretty bad. Anything not WASP wasn't tolerated at all. Everyday at school I got called "dyke" or "carpet-muncher". I had "dyke" spray painted on my locker. I didn't attend prom because I was threatened that "my kind" weren't welcome. I heard people at my church consistantly making slurs against my family and I. All in all it was a very unpleasant place to live. Getting away was definitely one of the best things I've ever done. :)

no bullying, but i go to an all girls school and people are like 'ewwww kissing a girl' lol and caus im bi, people are either saying:
eww whos gay!? wtf stupid!
or
bi people just cant decide or cba to chose

My community is fairly accepting. You either complain about the LGBT community behind their backs because you don't like confrontation, you're accepting or you're GAY RIGHT FTW.

Several gay couples can be seen making out at school and no one really gives them a hard time.

Hmm... I wish my school was like that.... I hate living in Southern Ky.... Teachers make fun of glbt.... teachers let students make fun of GLBT and Ive been like physically hit or peoples attemtped to hit me AKA guy throwing a football at my head.... hurts alot just saying... and teacher does what? NOTHING lol (i know im kinda ranting a bit) I getting tired of my school I have very very few real friends I can talk to.... as far as even holding hands forget it cause you get PDA charges here (PDA= Public Display of Affection) ... 3 years and im deff gonna be looking for a new place to live.... I almost think i should put this in a advice forum itself i really dont know what to do anymore... OHH did i mention southern ky and there christian faiths?? lol (again sorry for long rant just wanted to get it out and this was perfect place to do it i guess)

My school isn't too bad but people aren't really pushed into seeing LGBT relationships because hardly anybody is out. Last year there were a few lesbian relationships but I haven't seen any gay male relationships. I feel like everybody says that they are okay with gay marriage and stuff, but they are grossed out about it at the same time O.o I'm not out but i plan on slowly coming out...

you know... the thing i cant figure out the difference is, kissing a guy with a beard or going down on a chick. its like the same hair.... o.O so... be you hetro or homo (dependong on how far you go and what you like) your always a carpet muncher.... soooo i find that funny.

My community is pretty chill I guess. Compared to a lot of areas, it's pretty great, cos there's not too many people who give gays a really hard time. But it's kindof that thing that no one talks about, and when the subject comes up some people get pretty noticeably uncomfortable... Which just makes it kinda fun to talk about it around them, bug the homophobes. :+p

i live in the middle of no where in a small red neck town ppl arent bothered by the lez or bi girls but when it comes to me they torture me its so bad im getting home schooled next year and it doesnt help that im bi racial

For some of you, you are pretty lucky, but I am sorry for those of you who live in areas where life sucks a bit more. I did something funny the other day. I wrote to Ellen, I don't think she will get it, but there is always hope. Same for all of us and the future, there is hope that things will get better.
