Alright well my family fights and bickers a lot as it is and they all say i'm a drama queen who wants attention all the time which i understand why they would say this( i use to lie for attention). I am really afraid of my dad he constantly yells at everyone(Anger issues and in denial) he went to many wars and is a state trooper which makes it worse. So coming out to the them to me feels impossible. Even to my sister because i think she might judge me..... well i get on this sight alot now a days and i"m so afraid that they might see and find out! i need advice please help....

I know EXACTLY how you feel. Your dad sounds a lot like mine. What you need to do is make sure your relationship with your parents is as good as possible. Not only will this help to ease their stress by you showing that you care about them, but it may also help them become more open. That way, when you're ready, you can come out to them. Try the same with your sister. Learn as much as you can about LGBT life so you can educate them and answer any questions they may have. Come out to friends or other trusted adults first to build confidence. There's no rule that says you have to tell your family first. If you are afraid about them seeing you on this site, join support groups besides this one so, if they ask, you can discuss those and they will see that you are trying to make a positive impact on others' lives. However, hiding things is not a permanent solution. I personally have a secret stash of LGBT books in my room! When you become closer to your parents, you might find that you don't need to hide as much anymore, so you will have built trust with them. For now, just take small steps out of the closet. Tell those you trust, and congratulate yourself when you do. It takes a lot of courage to come out to anyone, no matter who they are! Enjoy learning about yourself and you should become more sure of yourself. Good luck with everything and feel free to add/message me anytime! I'm on your side, girl! :)

i used to live in a similar situation but since i came out things have calmed down however that isnt always gonna be the case. my advice to you would be tell someone you trust first and get some backup then sit them down one by one starting with the most reasonable (not your father) and explain the situation to them because its not healthy to hide things like that. if things dont work out and they get worse let someone know right away and get out of there if you can the last thing anyone wants is for you to get hurt.

Well i've came out to my important friends and my want to be family and got outed to some other people but they didn't really care. I would like to wait intill my siblings move out to make it easier but even then my dads girlfriend(gold digger) doesn't approve of it and from the way he talks about it he doesn't either
