I've got some very good pansexual friends. I'm in love with one of them. I'm also theoretically pansexual myself--and I say theoretically because I'm asexual most of the time.
But this isn't about listing credentials or anything.
In my mind, pansexuality is the best. And not because I am one. It's because, liking people, anyone, regardless of their gender, but being attracted to them because they're people and they're amazing and there's no judgement, only love and acceptance for everyone--how can that not be beautiful? You've landed with the "O" bloodtype of sexualities, and that's not something to be ashamed of.
For people who don't know what the word pansexual is, many people have heard of more common terms like "bi," and that might be easier to use. Also, you never have to explain yourself! Your sexuality is your business!
I'm pretty sure that getting strange looks from your bff's other female friends is something that tends to happen when they're jealous. Hold your head high. They'd do it regardless, and probably to other people, not just you. If they're going to be nasty, then ignore them! You've got an awesome bf!
Good luck!
