so, up until recently, i was pretty sure i was a lesbian. i never cared much for guys, and i've always been attracted to my same sex. what happened is i came out to my mom, and since then she's been nothing other than rude and mean about it. she's constantly saying hurtful comments, and she gossiped my sexuality to my whole family. it's been getting really bad, and i'm starting to feel so uncomfortable with myself. i've never been in a relationship with a girl since i don't really know many lesbians in my town, but i can't even imagine myself being with one anymore. my mother makes me feel like a monster. so i don't really want to act on it anymore. i feel like shit. i need advice.

I really am sorry. I can't relate, my mom is very kind and understanding, but you have my support. I think that you shouldn't listen to what your mother has to say. If it gets really bad, maybe you should talk to a professional. I'm terribly sorry and I hope this gets better.

Sweetie I know how that s. my suggestion is just do what you can to make her see how much what she's doing is hurting you. Maybe try writing her letters saying how you feel or family counseling is always a good option. it really helped me so if there's a chance you could do that then I say try even if you hate counseling like me. or if you cant do that talk to people you trust or even a school counselor or something like that or even just journal about it because it needs to come out one way or another. Or even try talking to some of the family members that she leaked it too because they might be understanding and accepting towards you and be able to talk to her and get through to her for you. it really sucks when things like that happens but its just important to remember that things like this happens and you're not a monster, you're a human and you are who you are no matter what anyone else thinks. you will get through this I know you will.

I'm sure your mother will learn to accept you in time, i know it's tough right now though i'm sure you'll get through it fine if you keep calm and stay strong, after all it does take a lot to process in when you think about it clearly, i'm absolutely positive that in a few years time the whole thing will calm down ok. everything will be fine if you be brave and confident, don't worry too much about what they say because sooner or later you'll have a girlfriend of you're own by your side all the way keeping you strong and as you help each other through those obstacles one day you will look back and laugh and then think to yourself 'It's ok now, isn't it?' and you will smile because you were proud of yourself, for who you are and because none of their words affected you because you were confident, you stayed strong and stayed positive. :) i'll always be here to support you so don't worry and don't forget your'e not alone! were all here for you!
