I recently figured out that I am bisexual, and so I changed my 'Interested In' on Facebook from Men to Men and Women. My mom and dad suggets that I am 'advertising' my sexuality, and if I was comfortable with who I was, I wouldn't want to tell everyone. I am proud of who I am, and I don't think I should lie and say I'm only interested in Men, when I'm not. Who's right?

you are i think that honesty counts and you should leave it with men and women because if you have only men all those ladies that like you will think you are straight when your not your bi its not advertising if you feel you should have it that way you feel fits. you control your life and what you tell everyone

You're right. If you didn't give it a second thought when it just said "men," I don't see why you should now. You're just providing basic information about yourself, which is what your Facebook profile is for. No big deal.

I think your parents are especially wrong when they say "if you were comfortable with who you were, you wouldn't want to tell everyone." That's a huge contradiction. Being OK with telling everyone shows that you're NOT ashamed. :)

If you're advertising your sexuality, I must be too, because mine says interested in women lol. It's just a label, it's your facebook and if anything you're showing you're proud of who you are by showing you're not afraid of people knowing you're interested in both sexes. Don't worry about what your parents say about it, just keep it and do what makes you happy.
