First of all you need to try and calm yourself down.Its absolutely necessary.I say if you have to fast for one day ist ok just do it.Whats most important now is to just calm down and do whatever it takes: deep breathing, meditation,yoga.hot bath or a walk.Whatever it takes.Maybe what you are experiencing now is just a stomach virus which obviously always makes our gastritis worse.Think of it like that nobody dies from gastritis and there are ways to deal with that condition but it takes some work and determination and keeping the stress levels to minimum.

I agree, that sounds like a virus for it to be so violent with sickness. I had a bad couple of weeks awhile ago, with awful bloating/belching and constant diarrhea. Then it just disappeared and I think that was a virus.

Not really sure what to say. I agree with the other posters, it definitely sounds more violent than the average gastritis symptoms. If it doesn't go away within a day or two, I would definitely see a doctor. Try not to get too dehydrated (obviously easier said than done). Hope all turns out alright!

Thank you so much for all your loving comment;s of support. I have the worst kind of Gastritis, and it's chronic, Woke today and felt better for al while, then i sipped water and it was OK but i have to eat something today or it will be worse tomorrow. I unfortunately am very depressed today. I feel like ive been beat down by this, and i have had many bad thing's way worse happen to me, but this is so bad and the thing is, i never know when it will happen again. Did try to meditate a little today, couldn't clear my mind though. Thanks again for all the responses.Everyone here is so kind and loving. Don't know what i would do w/ out you all

not sure if you are still having trouble but next time you get this sick and cannot stop throwing up you may need to go to hospital and be put on an iv. they will put anti-vomiting fluids into you to stop the vomiting. also you should not consume solids for 24 hours after an attack. and sip very small amounts of water. when i get that sick i just let it run its course (usually 3 hours) then go to sleep (always sleep upright of course basically sitting up) the next day i drink water to test my feelings and if im okay i start eating just one bite after one bite sometimes it takes days till i eat again. but i get there. good luck and best wishes!

Well guy's and gal's, i did it, i went to the ER finally today after taking son to his 3rd i think dental visit, Took of course forever but they did hook me up with an iv. i was so dehydrated, they gave me Zofran and Reglan along with it, then they added potassium chloride to the mix and Oh my that hurt and stung so bad, even the blood pressure cup was excruciatingly painful. So it's back to square one again for me. They gave me 2 new med's also along w/ the Zofran and Reglan that are really scarring me. Had to go to a 24 hr pharmacy who doesnt have my record's so i have to call my reg guy tomorrow or i should say today since i was there till 4 a.m. all by myself, it's scarry driving out there at that time, didn't take my second of 3 a day xanex till just a while ago, so i am still stressed, and confused still. One of them actually say's it can cause Gastritis, ERR.. So the cycle has to stop some day i hope i can eat like normal people, not anytime soon. Those PPI'S scare me alot. so back to the BART diet AGAIN. Thanks again for all the suggestion's. q- how do people sleep in an upright position? Seem's like you would need a recliner, which i will never have, i tried but can't sleep sitting up, tried it once w/ my crappy furniture, could not even get comfortable at all and did not sleep. I got to hand it to everyone who can sleep like that, you are defiantly stronger than me. Ive been up about 20 hrs strait so i'm kinda fuzzy now, ate a banana, and in a few i will try some tst, have to start somewhere. Thanks again. will let you know about the names of the other med's that scare me, have to do some resurch on them.
seem's like it's always just med's after new med's and i am confused now. Thanks again, do feel better but so hungry, going for the tst part next.
