Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I hope you get some good answers soon!
I started seeing a Naturalpathic Doctor and it has helped me tremendously. He put me on a diet that consists of No sugar, No Wheat, and No Dairy products, just eating soups and glutenfree oatmeal and some herbal supplements. It is helping me to calm and heal my gastrits. I would suggest you see a Naturalpathic doctor. I am starting to realize that my gastroenternologist can't do much for me so naturalpathic doctor, I would think is the right way to go to get relief. The diet is hard to keep but it is worth it if it helps to heal my stomach lining and reduce my pain.
I hope you feel better, Sincerely, Maradeur1978
taking gaviscon with ranitidine is fine im on it & take 2 spoons of gaviscon every night just to help me sleep better talk to your doc but to be honest most of them couldnt care less as its a self induced illness to most of them the first doc i saw basically told me it was my fault
I still am on a unique diet. I had some other complications and developed IBS in the midst of everything else. Combined with months of gastritis and I feel just as lost as I did sometimes when it all began. I still do get some burn now and then but have found that what I try once, I wait and try again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But I have been impressed more times than not. The main thing to focus on is the here and now. Try not to get caught up in the past or in the future either. Just a lot of deep breaths and you will get through this.
