Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Wish I could sleep

How do you guys sleep at night with the pain in between the shoulders? I was pretty much over the worst of it ( I thought ) and then it all came back. Probably was eating wrong.

This back pain is much worse this time around and is now keeping me awake. It comes with the pain in the esophagus and stomach... not much heart burn.

This is one confusing mess of an illness.

With difficulty. Mine can diisappear for ages then come back along with the pain you describe in tum, esophagus and with me also throat. I wait it out until it goes, especially now I take 150mg Zantac every 12 hours. I take it 9pm so would have thought this would cease the acid problem during the night, obviously not.
I do think the eating may be to blame as so many on here (whom I trust totally) have said. And usually if I have strayed the boundaries, this is my telling off.
I do find a glass of warm water pushes the acid back down tho.
