Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
That's the same place my pain is. My pathology from my endo showed chronic severe gastritis in April. I feel bad for all you young. People living with this terrible disease. I never had a problem with any GI issues until my sinuses went out of control, all the mucus was draining into my stomach after 3 months I was in so much pain I was on Vicidin , and I didn't know what was wrong with me until I had my endo.
Now my life's activities are very limited, but staying busy does help and having good friends to talk and listen to you.my granddaughter just visited with me from Florida and my stomach never bothered me for the whole 4 days she was here, my mind was occupied with her.
When this happened again in June, I got the same thing exact symptoms plus burning in the upper pit of my stomach. I also have pain under my ribs as well, mostly on the left side. Along with some slight tenderness right near my belly button. The pain in my lower right abdomen went away so it might be something else and luckily the burning has gotten a lot better but not completely gone. Usually appears in the evening.
My GI told me the mucus from our noses have as much acid as we have in our stomach. When I started with my serve post nasal drip in January it was dripping so bad,all because my thyroid level was .10, which is extremely dangerous. My espohyogis was burning so bad from the dripping, I thought I was having a heart attack, even the ER dr told the mucus has lots of acids and was burning my esphyogus.
