Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Start extremely slow - say, 3-4 basic ingredients (white rice, steamed chicken breast, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, banana), then work your way outwards after a few weeks. You might be able to handle herbs, which will improve the blandness considerably. Add only one new ingredient at a time. You'll know what works for you and what doesn't.
It will suck horribly, but with time you will recover.
regarding the food journal, i have done it but somehow lost after few weeks of doing it and cannot able to identify which food triggers my gastristis.
my question is if i eat some food that triggers my gastritis how long usually it will take to feel and noticed it? 1 hour? 1 day?
about your food journal do you record it using your phone? printout? journal book? any format or software you can recommend?
