Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
You can eat as many potatoes or rice as you want, it's good when your stomach isn't empty!
I am okay with the weight loss at my end about 15 points over 6 weeks
Funny I have always tried so hard to lose weight
My concern is if people start to notice and start to ask questions that gives me anxiety as I am a private person
The holidays are coming up , so we may run into family and Friends.
Yes I think if we try to maintain our weight we should be able too, but we have to manage based on work schedules and so forth..
Also, Our stomachs can only hold so much before we feel satiated.
I agree - eating for our condition is the same as eating for weight loss.
Somehow the weight slowly came back.
The only way we can gain weight is if we eat. But I think you need to find something that is high calorie that you can tolerate. Did you try boost or ensure or something of the sort which can boost your calorie count.
I am not quite sure about the varicose veins and bruising, but maybe you should get a second opinion. If you want to just get an answer quickly you can go on ask.com and ask that question to one of the doctors on there.... you may have to pay a small fee, but it may get you an answer and make you feel better.
Find something you can eat and just increase the quantity of it. I am sorry I could not be of more help. I hope you do feel better.
i'm sorry that you're suffering so bad since a long time. I don't know how the health system in the usa is, but here in Germany it wouldn't be a problem to get a rehab for some months with so many health problems. Did you think about that?
Are you going to a therapist? Maybe talking to him or/and Anti-Depressants will help you.
I can also recommend to go to a Doctor of Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Meditation and the right food for you would help a lot for you!
1. Keep a food dairy.
2. Eat every 2 hrs. My nutritionist plans a meal schedule with me.
3. Self monitor symptoms. Eliminate foods that cause symptoms. Could try again later.
4. Slow down and keep life simple. Rest.
5. Make the best of life despite this health issue.
6. If you keep losing weight, make sure to rule out culprits with GI doctor's help. I've done all the tests I could do. Enough testing.
Looking forward to healthy weight gain.
My weightloss was also rapid at first, I put this down to losing muscle mass rather than fat. The body is very good at preserving itself, so if you are already slim, rather than expending the little fat you have, it will turn to those muscles that you are hardly using anymore. Muscle weights a lot more than fat which is why you lose weight fast.
At a certain point I just stopped caring, I was almost force feeding myself trying to gain weight and it just meant my stomach never healed. My weightloss eventually slowed right down as I guess the little muscle I have left my body needed to retain.
I eat maybe around 1000-1400 calories a day, before these stomach problems I would comfortably eat 3000+ per day to gain weight slowly as I've always been slim.
I follow your advise.
The more I weigh myself, the more I worry. I eat a very well balanced meals, and try to stay active as possible.
But I noticed when I have company and I eat my diet I seem more relaxed than. Eating alone. My friends tell me how lucky I am to be thin, I told them I hate it, I haven tween this thin since grammar school, I've never been heavy, but at 130 I feel the best, bit I'd be happy at 105.
