Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I was just diagnosed with patchy gastritis 6 weeks ago.
I was in so much pain and ended up in the ER. Two weeks prior to that I had some pain and vomiting. It was thick and thought I'd choke. I ended up passing out with that episode.
Now I eat very little amounts and very limited foods. I ate a salad, about a 1/4 cup. Lettuce, carrots & celery, Cut small.
well the vomiting returned that night. I didn't pass out this time.
is the vomiting normal for gastritis?

Sorry about the effects; I have discovered that Gum Arabic (aka 'Mastic Gum') is a 3000 year old cure for gastritis and stomach ulcers. Also, combining it with Liquorice root, creates a double whammy for stomach irritation. Many companies produce capsules for both treatments. So not advertising anyone here. Check my first post.
