Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

last march to april have been suffering with to much pain on my stomach.. they diagnosed it with acute gastrtis..

lab test done: stool and cbc

medication: antacid and omeprazole

metoopromide for nausea

on april 2nd week i was again referred to another doctor..

medication:rabeprazole antacid

it didnt work and i was recommended to have ultrasound and endoscopy

i didnt do this because im waiting for my emergency exit in saudi to come home here at philippines..

update: this week im back to my country and i went to my doctor last tuesday he gave me another medication esomeorazole and mucusta..

wednesday i have ultrasound all are normal except my gallbladder which have a polyp 0.4 cm.. omg

thursday i have my endoscopy. the result was gastric erosion and esophagitis and +h pylori

medication: esomeorazole 40 mg twice a day before meal

amoxicillin 1 gram twice a day

clarithromycin 500 mg twice a day(side effect bad metallic taste at the morning and after 3 hours of eating)

mucusta 3x a day before meal

i started this round of medication of antibiotics today.. after 10 days ill update you back..

the flare up now are only minimal compare to last two months.. but theres still that dull annoying pain below my xyphoid bone..

hmmm flared up again specially at night.. and another set of medication was added... nightmares

I thought acute gastritis was supposed to resolve quickly? Have you changed your diet? It's very important so your stomach can fully heal.

yes already change it all fatty foods... but the sole culprit is NSAIDS.. i take them because i cant stand the pain dysmenorrhea monthly.. for 10 years been taking them.. so this is the result.. why having a medical check up.. i also learned that my gall bladder have polyp and my right ovary have cyst.. well i kinda inherited what my mother had .. and it sucks... those two additional is like a ticking time bomb..

my diet consists only of vegetables right now for 1 and half week... but when 10 pm the things starts again.. im cant even distinguish hunger or pain anymore..

Have you tried Tylenol instead for the pain? Sorry to hear about the polyp and cyst. :( and I know exactly what you mean about not being able to distinguish between hunger and pain. It all feels the same for awhile! It sounds like you need to resolve the pain that's making you take NSAIDS.

aladd2010 dysmenorrhea is my enemy and the cause was cyst on my right ovary.. im on medication for almost 5weeks but this past week theres a day painless but during night time when indigestion hit, pain all night for 1 and half day... some can trigger when i drink cold water.. ughh i cant help it when its so hottt .. ive been trying fruits using nutribullet but i think it is also a no no its not even citrus
