Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I would avoid Subway, Turkey and Mayo isn't good with Gastritis.
Vegetables only when they are steamed.
Safe Foods are for example:
Oatmeal, Rice, Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Rice Crackers, Steamed Vegetables, boiled chicken.
Strawberries and other Fruits are too acid.
Is the flavored oatmeals ok to eat? Like Brown Sugar??
There has been some good advice here from the other members. I can tell you that I did not and would not eat anything you suggested. I would stick to the most basic of diets.. Yea, its boring, but its going to be better for you. The more variety you add now, the harder it will be to figure out what sits well and what does not.
Stick to Basic foods, No processed foods. -- No microwavable stuff, no fast food, eat in as much as possible.
Feel better!
Ativan for the day and Xanax for sleep
I am taking Lexapro 10mg a day, and Xanax 1/4mg 2x a day. I am now off of the Xanax as the Lexapro seems to have kicked in. The Anxiety disabled me almost completely...
I am still on the Lexapro, and probably will stay on it for a while. The xanax I stopped just last week. But it helped alot.
