Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

The gastritis is still bad

I am still suffering bad flare ups of pain. I only have Sucralfate or Gaviscon from the doctors along with Lansoprazole PPI. I also take Citolpram. Otherwise I take paracetamol and codeine. I have started taking supplements such as ginger, Slippery elm and probiotics. I don,t want to take too much stuff but someone has recommended Aloe Vera gel to me. Has anyone tried it and found it effective? I don,t know where to get it as it is very expensive on sites like Amazon and you have to pay postage on top of the price. Is there somewhere I can get some or should I just buy the juice? I have also tried Silicol gel but not a lot as that is expensive too. I just need to stop it inflaming up. I am not sure what the triggers are in my case as it is always flaring up whatever I eat. I get reflux too. This Aloe Vera gel is meant to be good. I have some in tablet form but then that is not coating the stomach is it.

I tried the aloe Vera gel and found it too harsh, however it really works for some people! I take silicol gel, it is pricey but it allows me to eat without too much discomfort. I came off the ppis as they were having bad side effects. I also take Manuka honey, I seem to be improving so far! Hope you feel better soon.

I couldn't stomach the aloe ver juice either sadly.

It didn't hurt me but it didn't help, either...
I get the most help on really bad days from benadryl.
Also, lots of help from keeping the gas down with enzymes and gas-x (simethicone).

How long have you have this gastritis? I have mine since in the middle of May. I'm taking all these supplements that you mentioned they seemed to be helping, I buy it from Puritan it's cheap and you can get buy one get 1 or 2 free. I buy Aloe vera juice at walmart. My GI prescribed me Citolpram I took it once but I got bad side effect so I just stick with clonazepam along with supplement for anxiety. I really hate this anxiety I don't want to take medicine for long period of time because of the side effects. Has anyone is taking natural supplement for anxiety and found to be effective?
