Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I tried a chop a few weeks ago but didn't bash that but it cursed me for a long time!!
As for coffee,no I could not live without it:)This is the only thing I refused to give up to heal gastritis.I have continued drinking it all the time. The only thing I did was cut down on the amount and so instead of 2 cups a day I decided to have one.I gave up the morning coffee but have always enjoyed the after lunch one.I figured that its just safer to have coffee on full stomach after lunch instead of on empty stomach the first thing in the morning .Seems to work for me.I also noticed that the afternoon coffee is almost like a digestive drink,it definitely helps digestion in my case.
Oh and by the way theres a book by Jamie Koufman "Dropping Acid" which is a very good book for refluxers and gastritis sufferers.I have been following the diet and using some of the recipes.I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to get rid of their stomach issues.
