Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
So here is the issue. When your body is stressed is stops producing stomach acid and slows digestion. I did not realize this until after months of omeprozle use that made things so much worse. I would shake and my stomach always felt like it was vibrating.
The omeprozole is going to slow digestion and lower acid production even more. This will cause your lining to become even more inflamed.
Get yourself some aloe juice and marshmellow root powder. Drink the aloe juice a few times a day and the marshmellow root twice a day. And karafate from the doctor is also helpful.
You need to rebuild your mucus membranes in your GI tract.
