Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I had something similar happen to me several years ago, so I know how stressful such a situation can be. I have much going on right now which is stressful, and yes, it's not easy. I try to 'give it all to God' every morning, because so much of it is out of my hands. I think that's all we can do sometimes. We just do what we can and trust the rest will be 'covered' by God. That has been my experience.
Be good to yourself, too. Enjoy a good book or music, do some crafts or hobbies, play with a pet, share with a friend, etc. It helps to get one's mind off our troubles.
And I'm sure your dad would love to hear from you and that may help his healing. I know when I was in the hospital, just knowing someone was thinking of me meant everything.
Best wishes and prayers!!
