Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

I can't eat an apple but can manage the puree with oats - go figure!
I am over bananas though - four of them are looking at me needing to be made into banana bread for the kids! LOL
I can manage a small amount of ripe pineapple each day. It has good digestive enzymes. A lot of people can only manage cooked fruit also. I tried a peach and am ok with that. Tomorrow an apricot. Not sure if I'll brave nectarines or peaches but will try raspberries next week. They're supposed to be good for GI issues.
Can you manage any berries or kiwi?

I think I blew it tonight though. Adding to my stomach problems I have sinus headache issues, vertigo and a slipped disc causing sciatica (falling apart - dh keeps joking he wants a refund) so I had what normally would make me feel better... a can of pepsi... I was desperate for some relief and my stomach was not feeling bad. It tasted delicious LOL but now I am paying and swallowing gastrogel. It was stupid but it did make my sinuses feel better. It is just a little reminder that I am not better and I have run out of honey again!
I'm lucky with fruit as I eat gob loads every day. My normal breaky is fruit, yoghurt (full fat), lsa and a little meusli followed by rolled oats and honey. Yummo.
I hope the tummy settles soon. These things are sent to try us and make us aware who or what is really in control. Hang in there.

I am dreading Christmas food. I skipped my work Christmas party because I didn't want to be in that situation. Christmas day is full of my fav food - seafood and tarty sauces. I wonder how prawns and gastritis go to together??? LOL
