Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I don't know what else to suggest, except I hope there is a way to find a new doctor to help (easier said that done, I know). In the meantime, I would keep after your current doc and hammer away the fact that you feel so badly. Also, keep tight to the 'careful' diet, drink lots of water, and (can't remember--have you tried something like slippery elm or chamomile teas?).
I have to wonder if maybe those meds you had are causing problems(?) but that's just a guess--I have no idea, really.
I will keep you in my prayers. I hope you do keep contacting your current doc and keep looking for a new opinion.
Best wishes and keep us posted. Sorry I'm not more help.
