Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
It can also be caused by other unknown factors such as autoimmune disease
I would not read too heavily into other users about it lasting 5-10 years, they usually have other health issues at hand.
The good news is if you have No other issues, you will probably get through this, bad news is everyone is different so you could be over this in 4-5 months or 14-15 months depending on your severity. Even after you 'heal' , your stomach might not be able to handle certain foods anymore. My days of hot sauce are probably over.
The doc said stress is a HUGE factor and I need to get it under control.
But I'm hoping I'll be able to have a little more than mashed potatoes, rice and chicken eventually :(
Take PepZin GI and you will maintain your level of digestion and slowly improve.
Chicken stage is a good stage, because the stage after it opens up the choices quite a bit.
Earlier today I was quite uncomfortable as I tried cucumbers & corn yesterday (both of wish I read are quite hard to digest)
Thanks for replying! Are you 100% better now?
I hope you feel better soon! Take care!
Please tell me this will end? I CANNOT live my life like this!!!!
Remember that stress contributed to this and more will not help cure it. Call in whatever troops you have and get some rest....
