Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Just a post to vent (and any suggestions too of course).
I have joint issues...sacroiliitis where my SI joints ache, I have back pain daily (esp when sitting) and I get shooting pain down my leg. I was on celebrex daily (plus I did a no-no and took extra ibuprofen when I had really bad migraine)...and that is what they suspect has caused my gastritis. So, no more celebrex.
Well, now on top of dealing with my stomach (nausea for me), my back is flared up with the shooting pain. All it would take would be to take celebrex for a few days, but of course, that's not an option (tried that end of June when also had a flare up, and my stomach got worse again).
So now I have to deal wtih this shooting pain that doesn't go away. My GI says I can take tylenol, but it doesn't help. Ugh....

These patches can be expensive if your insurance doesn't cover it. It is lidocaine..It works great for me when I travel or want to get through the day without feeling that miserable back pain.
These patches were originally make for the pain from shingles.
