Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
And just so you know when you first go off PPI you may have PPI rebound for a while, just go straight to the plan and it'll help in that phase. You can look up PPI rebound.
I'll try to let you guys know if this plan is still working or going sour for me in a bout a month or two.
Update on this though I'm back on a PPI but its due to having to take antibiotics and it has caused the inflammation to come back the herbs are not strong enough for my burning right now so Im on Protonix. I may go back herbal if I can ever get the burn back down, well see... Ive become a bit worried with going all herbal because theres a guy at the gym I go to who I spoke to time back who had milk gastritis and he went all herbal for a year no western meds and now hes CHRONIC gastritis, so he wishes he just used his PPI, so its a risk you take...but you never know. Good Luck!
