Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Yes I am on other medications, but I make sure I do not take them within hours of taking the slippery elm as it can inhibit absorption. Thanks for inquiring though... I just want to make sure I am taking it the best way
You could call vitamin shoppe and ask if they could order it for you.... If you for some reason cannot order it from Amazon.
If you spring for the 2 day (if you really want it), you could get it usually by next day. I do the free shipping and it took about 4-5 days to get my stuff... pepsin, slippery elm etc.... I just ordered an extra bag so I wouldnt have to scramble last minute.
I take it about 10AM in the morning about 2 hours after my ppi. I mix about 1/2 tsp of the powder into slightly hot water, wait for it to be drinkable and then drink the whole thing. I also take pepsin GI right after my meals, and a probiotic at night.
I usually do not eat anything after 6-7PM. I eat white fish, chicken, potatoes, rice, yogurt and bananas. My portions are quite small though and I eat every few hours.
