Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
By lozenges do you mean sort of big tablets with a whole bunch of other additives & very little slippery elm content?
Personally I'd choose a capsule over a tablet or lozenge, but give them a try if you've bought them.
each lozenge contains:
slippery elm 600mg
fenugreek powder 10 mg
kelp powder 10mg
Fenugreek is quite aromatic though (ingredient in curry powder). Maybe be an irritant like turmeric can be?
the lozenges I got also contained alot of other things in them.
I was using the capsules... I really noticed an improvement when I emptied out the capsules in warm/hot water. Thats when I started buying the powder.
The lozenges will have some slippery elm, but I think it works better when you drink that whole glass of goopyness.
