Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I wish you well and let us know what you decide. I know any new treatments can make us anxious but sometimes going through those hardships can bring great rewards.
Take care,

Well silly me thinking I had got rid once and for all, phew its back big time and I think I know what did it.
I like smoothies made with fruit and because I want to bring my cholesterol down I started adding a couple of spoonfuls of porridge oats in their dried form. Well I am sure they swelled up like they do when you make them with hot milk, but in my tummy. not in the pan. It feels like the whole of my chest and tum is inflamed and gripes. Obviously this thing comes and goes - so back to the cupboards for me and bring out AGAIN all of my potions. Hope your all ok and still coping with this nonsense we have.

so sorry to hear that. I can manage oats as far as the gastritis is concerned but they are no friend of my IBS. I hope this flare up is short lived. My gastritis doesn't really cause me any grief unless a new food reacts with me but I take all my potions and stick with the diet and slowly try new foods. My IBS is more an issue for me.
Best of luck,
Cas
