Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I was DX last year on endo with chronic gastristis but gi dr did not say anything about it I fond it on my records I didn't have any signs of it either. Mine flared up June 2nd after a round of paon meds and muscle relaxers and stress. I'm in my 7th week and I so down. I weighed 135 now I weigh 116lbs too much weight loss for me I look anorexia I'll never complain about weight again if I get over this I too was trying to loose about 8lbs. for the summer thats why the meds bothered me I think because I would take them on empty stomach.
I'm new to this and scared my gi dr blew me off he told me nothing only I had gastritis when I got the biopsy back it read chronic mild gastritis I would hate to see what severe was like this has been awful I would love to talk to you about your recovery if you could email me I would appreciate it I need hope right now I feel so doomed and so lonely and the boards often scare me to death when I read them, I get a lot of anxiety I have a history of panic disorder which was doing good until this came up now I'm so anxious I can't leave the house I'm on meds for it.
I go to new gi dr this Friday maybe I will get some answers.

I'm not quite sure why you're bringing in carbs back into the mix? I have a cookbook that is supposed to be for people who have digestive issues and on a specific carb diet. There are many different alternatives to carbs if you don't want to eat them anymore. It's called, eat well feel well I believe. However, it takes a lot more work to be on this diet as you have to make your own EVERYTHING. Lol.
I've been working out lately (light workouts), and I'm finding that I'm feeling a little bit better! But I still have anxiety about the pain coming back. Lol.
