Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I had a colonoscopy done about 6 years ago and now that was a nightmare. Having to drink this lemon-tasting liquid sludge for 24 hours before the procedure with no food. After the procedure was done, I think on a Wednesday, it took me the rest of the week to feel normal. I still had to do my internship.
Hello Sara59. Ive just read your comment. Yesterday I was on a business trip and I had a late lunch, a special hamburger with french fries. Today I woke up with gastritis, just like you. Normally I dont have gastritis problems, but lately, if I have a dinner with meat or hamburgers or grease food, the next day I wake up with a burning feeling in my stomach. My daughter (21) suffers from gastritis more frequently. I found a natural supplement that helped my daughter. I dont know if you have tried natural treatments? The one we tried, its called Biogaxtric, it worked very well for my daughter and me. I remember we bought it in Amazon, but I am not sure if you can find it in a regular store. I hope you feel better after you visited your doctor
