Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I'm really surprised you can eat cabbage, it's weird how different we all are.
Welcome by the way.
Just last three days I have felt bad and since I weaned off the PPIs way to fast it could be anything from the PPIs to just starting gastromend to the fennel or mushrooms or parsnips. This can drive one mental, lol. I will just try sticking to porridge, bananas, carrots, cabbage, sweet potatoes, potatoes, chicken or turkey and maybe a cracker with no beans here and there, for the 2-3 days.
The cabbage juice effects my thyroid quite badly. Runny nose nearly constantly, headaches from time to time, bit dizzy, chest burning occasionally, and nausea at times. The first three days of the diet I did pure cabbage juice, two cups a day, it was killing my thyroids and burning my stomach but those 3-4 days I didn't wake up with a stomach pain nor lie down with one. Once I started mixing it with other vegetables the pains have come back but not severely. And after about 30 mins of drinking carrot and cabbage juice my stomach tends to feel better. So I am hoping this is healing me.
I just need to figure out which of the three things is making me feel so icky these last three days. Food, PPIs or gastromend. Been on gastromend for a week solid now. I have Pepzin Gi now as well, have yet to take it. I also take probiotics. Ordered ulcetrol, b12 vitamins and digestive enzymes. So I will be taking those as well once I get them.
