Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Guess I'm making some progress. Not getting much heartburn anymore. But I'm getting that same old pain in the center of my chest (between the girls). I'm still taking Zantac.

Is this common among us gastritis patients? Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Any comforting words?

I do get the pain around the ribs and in the middle of my back and I am assuming this is all still a gastric problem. Kind of have my head in the sand with all this.

I get the heavy feeling "between the girls" but no pain. I get a stinging sensation on the right just beneath the ribs though. I am also taking zantac

Yeah,I get the heavy feeling, too, from time to time.I wonder if its anxiety related beause it does feel like tension inside the body.I also find this region hardest to relax when I do my daily autogenic training.

I get that from time to time. I have had it for the last three days or so because I ate some boiled potatoes and chicken with seasoning on it. I got it all the time when i was using pepzin gi too.

I think it's gas pains, at least for me it is. I will get up and walk around for a while and then burp a lot and the pain will go away. It feels just like heartburn to me but I know it can't be

Yes pain between the ole girlies that goes up into the throat and thru to the back. Fades away gradually.
