Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Are able to eat any herbs? You could make chicken meatballs with some herbs for flavour. If you can handle ginger and turmeric you could also flavour with those. They are good for our gut along with the Italian herbs.
We all have to learn to be creative with very little in the early stages.
Not sure how a colonoscopy would cause this unless you mean the preparation? Sorry you find yourself in pain.
You could also try home made vegie burgers.
Herbs really irritate my bladder so it's one or the other. Yeah, the prep seems to have burned everything, my stomache, my digestive tract and my bladder, it's taking a long time to heal. The prep was a generic brand and seemed extraordinarily salty. Even burned the inside of my mouth. I used prep before and don't remember it being like that. When they had me hooked up to the I.V. waiting for the procedure, I was peeing it out as fast as it was going in. Ah, water under the bridge, so to speak. I am feeling better, got to watch the ketchup and onions though as well as anything else tasty. Grrr.
How about going to the movies say once a week. I know it's still indoors but it's a great distraction and food isn't an issue as you can take your own snacks. It was a haven for me in the early days.
With all that pain for all those months, were you on any aniexty pills, I know when I take them, they help so much, but my drs monitor my intake very careful. I told them if I could just resolve this depression and aniexty, I know my stomach would feel better, when I go shopping or when I visit someone, I feel so much better, I tell everyone to come over and visit me, but everyone has there own life. I was good all week, cause my husband is home, and I go to accupucture and go places, but my weekends are awful, I have nothing to do, but sit and think about how my life has changed, I would like to be able to eat a sandwich, I could at least travel with that.
I was fine for the past 2 months after 27 months of hel& and then yesterday I chanced a half of a corn english muffin.....
Today I am in full flare, utter agony....over a little bit of gluten.
You aren't stupid. You are human and this illness is stupid.
When I first got sick I didn't feel like any foods I couldn't eat so shopping was ok...then I started to feel better and aware of the foods no longer going in my trolley. I had to have a good cry and mourn those foods a few times along the way. I removed ALL food from my house that I coukdnt eat. At least at home my pantry was filled with possibilities and friends scored loads of goodies.
Yeah soretum, my cart is sparse with stuff I can have these days, saves me money if nothing else and the shopping list takes less time to create too.
