Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Have you tried lemon verbena or lemon myrtle teas? Both herbal. I don't know the caffeine levels of white tea, i know it is higher in anti oxidants which is great. I also drink peppermint tea and lemon grass tea.
I found manuka honey & ginger tea useful, as well as coconut water and chamomile as already mentioned. To be honest, its liquids that give me the most discomfort much more so than food but maybe thats just me! I tend to take small sips when required to make it easier
As of the moment I only drink flavored water (probably doesn't have the most beneficial effect) but I've read a lot of people drink the Aloe Vera enhanced drinks as well as chamomile.
In the past, I have made a sort of ginger-chamomile mix tea. Can't decide whether or not the ginger was beneficial though as although it helped with nausea, it seemed like it could be agitative.
Probably need to switch to just water.
