Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Am sorry you have had to suffer after just having some potato chips. Not fair is it? I also don't have any pain. My symptoms are mostly nausea (sometime burning, but it's not painful...just a warmth). But when the nausea subsides, I feel hungry. So it seems either nausea or hunger. As for the weight loss, that seems common as you'll see on here if you read some of the posts. We have stomach issues, so we eat less and thus the weight loss. Hope it subsides for you and you start feeling better again.
