Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Gastritis takes very long to heal even after you eliminate all the irritants. Don't expect your gastritis to vanish in a month or two, it takes longer than that.
Forget about alcohol for quite a while if you really wanna heal. I've talked to ppl who had been healed and then drank and the gastritis came back. Even when you heal you probably should drink in moderation and wine or something. For now, just forget about it.
Nausea is normal with a flare-up, it's not that there is something wrong with you, it's just gastritis. That's how it is. You should avoid flare-ups if you can. When you have them. just go on a bland and safe diet until it passes. Unfortunately there is no quick fix to flare-ups, just wait it out.
Please remember to quit smoking and do not drink alcohol at all.
I did. I started to feel difference only after I quit smoking.. and I don't have any plans to start it again. Hope that helps you :)
