Yes,Jane.NDs do take their time to help their patient indeed.I don't know where you live but Ive had a great naturopath in California last summer and she taught me a lot of things which Im now using in practice.I cant go to her anylonger because I moved back to Europe but I still use lots of supplements and herbs she gave me and Im doing my own research on gastritis now.She basically showed me the way and that was exactly what I needed back then when my gastritis kicked in.Im not sure if you believe in homeopathy but lots of naturopathic doctors combine phytotherapy and homeopathy plus supplements and that works!Also the fact they take their time and actually listen to their patients is very important in the healing process.
As for insurance I had a basic one which unfortunately did not cover this service and I had to pay out of pocket which was a lot each visit but in the end it was so worth it.I also noticed that the supplements I was ordering from my doctor were very fairly priced these were mostly Thorne Research or Vital Nutrients and I was very happy with the quality.Just one more thing.My doctor told me that suppements in the u.s. are not regulated by FDA so its quite easy to just fake them that's why we shouldn't be ordering them on sites like e-bay.That was a very important information.

Without my naturopath and acupuncturist i would have been in the wilderness. My health insurance covers me for most of the year.
With her holistic approach I have my life back.

How does the acupunturist work I cant figure that one out. I can the naturopath and did you take meds whilst seeing them so to compliment the treatments/

Do you have to time the accupuncture visits so you're not laying down within 3 hours of eating?
I see a naturopath and am so grateful for her. She has helped me with many ailments (and treated them more effectively than medical doctors). She's also helping me with gastritis. I pay out of pocket but my insurance reimburses a little.

I did the natural route, only taking a low dose PPI for a month that did nothing. The higher doses gave me side effects.
I timed my acupuncture appointments just before my next snack. She took the pulses of my organs and worked on strengthening those most in need each visit.
My dad suggested it as I didn't have to 'eat it' as he put it.

Im seeing where the acupunture can help now. Didn't realise it could strengthen inside.

I agree with Soretum.I lived in China for 2 years.Chinese holistic medicine is superior to anything allopathic.Thousands of years of practice and experience speaks for itself.

when it comes to the relationship between the stomach, diaphragm and esophagus, I chose the chiropractor/osteopath route because I also have a small hiatal hernia. They helped me a lot but in particular I think the chiro actually got my stomach to move down and stay further down. I was totally skeptical that it would help at all. Now I am a big believer in chiro.

Initially I tried acupuncture and it did not help with my gastritis or heartburn but I believe in trying anything that might work.

For me, I eliminated gastritis with a ton of mental discipline.
