Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I went to see a nutritionist yesterday to see if he could help my chronic stomach problems. He was very concerned about the lack of variety in my diet and advised me to start taking a multi-vitamin.
Before this my stomach had seemed to be improving, I had been on cabbage juice for 3 days a few weeks ago and it cured my pains. I could even get away with the odd bad weekend eating pastries and salty foods. But today I took the multivitamin for the first time and I haven't really felt the same since, everything I have eaten leads to this mild stomach ache and tenderness when walking around. I also have a throbbing heartbeat in my abdomen.
I have also been trying to eat a more varied diet based on the nutritionists advice, so it could be something I ate, but I had started introducing the foods yesterday and been fine.
Does anyone else find that a multi-vitamin irritates the stomach?

But I have lost so much weight and feel so terrible all the time. Guess the Ensure is just keeping me at the minimum of nutritional health.
