Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

life is not playing fair with you at all just now. I do pray your pain is over very, very soon. I had the pain you described for many months but thankfully I haven't experienced it like that for over 12 months. I don't know why we heal and improve is such different ways. I'm no doubt worse than some and better than others.
I hope the dr can shed some more light on this for you.
