Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
And what do you eat at the moment?
I'm thinking (a supposition) that you are getting irritated and painful after you eat something that sets you off, or take a med that hurts...
elimination diets seem to be a major part of this thing...
Bear in mind that some foods only give you pain hours later or even the next day.
Can you maybe get down some sort of smoothie? A milky product, soy, coconut, rice milk , anything, with protein powder?
Then on the days you don't feel like eating at least you'll get some nutrition......
feel better!
It says it's caused by lesions of some kind. I would phone the doctor and get a better explanation. Below is a link to some info but it is convoluted to say the least.

The only thing that helps me is fasting. After a day or two I start taking rice (cooked with lots of water and then put through the blender). I make it the consistency of milk, and drink that in small amounts until I feel better. Then I slowly add other foods.
I sometimes get mild stomach pain, especially when I am hungry. But mostly its irritation. After I eat, my stomach feels heavy for hours. If I eat too much, I get sick all over again. I also get pain between the ribs from losing so much weight.
Now that I have been diagnosed with gastritis, and following a bland diet, I am slowly getting better. But it's still touch and go, anything can set it off.
The doctor didn't specifically diagnose it as inactive gastritis, but I've been having this for years. The fact that I was not in pain made it difficult to figure out what is wrong.
