Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.

Lobster and gastritis

Has anyone been able to eat lobsters with there gastritis diet, no butter, just on a nice roll.

I don't eat lobster, but do eat shellfish like scallops and that fake lobster that is really surimi. The scallops I drown in real butter, the fake seafood I put in mayonnaise.
I have no trouble at all with fats, in fact they seem to help soothe things down there.
I could not eat that roll, now THAT would do me in for weeks.
It's pretty individual....

I can eat crab and other shellfish so I guess I could manage lobster.

Ho yes I eat lobster!! It is delicious, low fat, the perfect food for gastritis!!

Be careful what kind of broth it is cooked in though.
I had it grilled too, delicious! No need for seasoning.
