Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Does liquid Carafate have to be refrigerated? When I got my first script filled they gave me 3 huge bottles but I kept the other two in a cupboard for future use. I wonder if I should have refrigerated all of them. Are they safe to use now?
Proper storage of Carafate suspension:
Store Carafate suspension at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees (20 and 25 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Carafate suspension out of the reach of children and away from pets.
