Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
However, the whole picture of treating gastritis is far bigger than this. You may not have many options in terms of acid suppression, and may have to go on Zantac permanently.
I don't visit DailyStrength anymore, because they ruined the site.
But at some point I made a haphazard website in an attempt to help people with gastritis, at https://gastritishelp.wordpress.com
You may find it useful.
Maybe you can ask him/her whether there is a way to target the enteric nervous system (a.k.a "the second brain") specifically and make the nerves there less sensitive (countering "visceral hypersensitivity"). I think that might greatly help with gastritis, but probably someone would have figured it out by now. Maybe doctors should invent something like Lidocaine for the stomach, I dunno. Not a cure, but definitely a help with the discomfort and occasional pain.
Also, why the heck stomach heals so freaking slowly?
