Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Just listen to what shihonage says everything he says it's true. Get yourself up, pray to God to be very strict and you will heal in a few months enough healing for your stomach to handle stress.
Try to find a diet that has all your vitamins is bland and keeps your stomach in the least amount of discomfort symptoms for a while, while also avoiding malnutrition and vitamins.
For example white rice , if you can handle fish get it fresh it has all the vitamins, oatmeal, potatoes, carrots, spinach, maybe a banana, thats probably it. Every 3 or 2:30 hours to keep the acid from eating your stomach away.
Use pepzin GI between meals and slippery elm to coat your stomach when needed. If one does things correctly everything bland, throughly cooked and chewed heck i dont think we even need antiacids , only one at night when the stomach is empty if that gives you pain.
Note: make sure everything is throughly and well cooked. Rice (white) for me was a problem but it is no longer a problem since I bought a very expensive japanese rice cooker, it cooks every grain well i digested like water even when I was in my worse state.
Srsly lighten up and get this disease out of your life. Its a lot of work and effort but its curable. I don't recommend miso soups, bars, pasta sauce all the nasty things i read here sometimes its saddening, these people will never heal if they keep eating like that when still having symptoms unless their gastritis isn't so bad.
I'm in a constant cycle of one problem causing something else. Now I am anemic and have to take iron. So the iron causes constipation which is something I've been fighting for years anyway.
Thanks for the advice. I do trust Shihonage. He must research this stuff all the time. I'm just finding it very hard to take care of myself while I'm trying to care for my husband.
My worst problems are my diet. I've never cared much for rice. I do eat it sometimes, but not much. And I'm not a fan of oatmeal. So I'll have to find a way to cook these to make them appeal to me. Any recipes anyone??
