Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Sorry, I'm in the U.S.; no help on where to get Sucralfate in England. Wouldn't your gastro doctor be able to get it for you?
I didn't tolerate nuts for a long time. My doctor said nothing 'rough.' I could eat a little bit of plain peanut butter, after a few months, but I'd be very careful with that, too.
Have you sat with your doctor and gone over your diet and suggestions for him? It sure helped me. I think I sat for a half hour or 45 minutes and it was worth it.
Don't forget the 'dietary assistance' thread here.
Wish I could be more help. Best wishes and prayers you will feel better soon.
