Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
If I do have a gastritis reaction it is over in a day. My IBS gives me more ongoing grief as rules don't apply always.
Sadly the term 'mild gastritis' doesn't begin to cover the horrors we go through.
It can be better so please stay as positive as you can. Believe me I know how hard that can be.
I'm learning that a Snickers bar is less harmful to me than a small yogurt. The milk in Yogurt really seems to sink into stomach lining and provoke stomach acid forever.
It's a learning process, and I see the experience as a spiral. While I'm going through similar setbacks, I'm also distancing from the initial point and getting closer to recovery. The upward trend graph can have its dips but still generally go up.
So hopefully I will be done with this before 30.
