I still find it helpful to have a little something in my stomach most of the time, except right before bedtime (about 1.5 to 2 hours before, I eat nothing).

Jim229, perhaps you need to be a bit more specific here in terms of your hunger and the extremeties of it...

By hunger Im referring to a gnawing pain sometimes strong sometimes mild that leaves you with a sense of feeling hungry. It usually occurs an hour or two after eating. It is distinct though barely from true hunger pangs and it is also distinct from the burning sensation that we all know gastritis causes.
I get it almost daily after breakfast. I feel certain that it is related to the gastritis. I had it my first bout too.

jim229 and I seem to be having the same type of thing. For me, it's mostly where I feel like I am always hungry, even if I just ate a bowl of cereal. And so, I will decide to snack, and continuously snack to feed that hunger pain.. and end up with a stomach ache of some sort. Lol. At least, that's how it is for me.

I just wanted Jim to be a bit more specific for everyone else as I had other issues with extreme hunger.

I developed hunger once things started to turn around and get better. Hang in there... this may be a very good sign!
