Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
All you ever hear is "eat fresh fruit and veggies"... Drink fresh Smoothies. But when you have Gastritis you are limited and are not supposed to eat "healthy" foods.
How do you get around this problem? Do vitamins help at all?
I have become so frustrated by the diet suggestions and all the hype about fresh foods. We grow a garden, but it seems like I shouldn't be eating most of what we grow, which is all good food for most people.
So really, how do you get a healthy diet and feed your body right while treating gastritis at the same time. And then there are those of us who have other issues like IBS and anemia at the same time.

I've tried various vitamin pills too, but they always end up making my stomach feel off. They contain so many things theres bound to be something in there that doesn't agree with you :/
