Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I feel you 100000%. Ive been diagnosed for 2 years now, and even though the flare ups have become more spread apart, they’re still just as miserable and frustrating as the first flare up :/
I’m still working my way through my own but with this particular sickness I believe a LIFESTYLE CHANGE may be the only solution (i.e. anti-inflammatory diet, meditation, integrative medicine)
I’ve never been a bad eater or a heavy smoker, yet these episodes will come & take over my entire life. It’s even MORE frustrating when no ones ever able to pinpoint the trigger, but that may be because it’s just a combo of things over time, as well as my body going through changes (as bodies do), and it may just be time for a reset!
Again, I’m still struggling with nausea in the mornings (which is crappy but a HUGE improvement from the past 13 days) but once I’m “out the mud” I’m starting immediately.
In a weird way, this may b the universe telling us it’s time to take even better care of our bodies, & this is just one hell of a kickstart! :)
I hope this helps, even if just a little bit.
Feel better,
Alex
