Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Ginger helps with nausea, and you can make hot ginger tea and drink it to see if it would ease your nausea. But one word of caution though : ginger may actually cause more acid. I have experienced that if I eat too much ginger/ginger laced food, my stomach bloated like a 6 months pregnant woman. but to each his own, you just have to try it to know if it works for you.
There is also ginger candy from Holland and Barret, you can try it too. chew on it when you feel the nausea.
You will get better, no worries, there are a lot of people who gets healed over time - it is just that you don't see much of this kind of posting in discussion groups such as this. The great advantage you have is you are young and hence you can bounce back faster.
The gastritis comes and goes. Just be thankful for the periods that it does not bother us. don't let it get to you.
Cheers

Ginger and Manuka honey will be fine together. You could also try peppermint tea. Ramble any time. that is what we are all here for. To support and be supported. I was diagnosed with gastritis back in 2010 and for the last year have been very settled. I only have pain now if a new ingredient doesn't agree with me. I remain strict with my diet but have gained so many foods I thought I'd never taste again.
